Blog

The Blog at Sugarloaf Mountain Photography is intentionally quite low key. Instead of repeating information that is already covered by many of the numerous photography blogs on the internet today, my intention is to share things here that have more or less slipped under the radar. I also try to write about things that I have found to be useful and that made a difference for me and my photography in some way. The topics are almost always relating to photography in some way. This includes everything from shooting techniques, cameras and accessories to the software I use during my digital post production. This includes Photoshop tricks and techniques I feel are worth sharing as well as Photography and Lighting related tips and tricks that I use and find to be invaluable.

About...

Sugarloaf Mountain Photography is located 8000 feet above sea level on the Southern slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain in the foothills above Boulder, Colorado. Send me email using the contact form.

I use Adobe Software, Nikon Cameras and Macintosh computers, so the topics in my blog will be more about Nikon than Canon for example. I have absolutely nothing against Canon or Pentax or any other camera manufacturer. In fact, they all make excellent cameras. However, since I use cameras made by Nikon, they are the ones that I'm most familiar with. As far as computers go I'm a long time Windows user who converted to Macintosh early in 2006, and have never looked back. I now do everything relating to my photography on my iMac and have found that for my needs the Mac OS X operating system is working far better for me than Windows has done in the past. But, I am not interested in debating whether a camera or an OS is better than an other because we are all free to choose what best fits our needs.

Prints for Sale

Printed and mounted with a laminated finish!

Sugarloaf Mountain Photography prints are mounted with a laminated finish. The main benefit is the complete lack of any reflections or glare since there is no glass covering the print. The laminated finish is very durable and does not scratch, show fingerprints or mark easily and contains UV protection. You can clean the surface with a damp cloth and window cleaner. If you are interested in purchasing mounted prints, please contact me so we can discuss the details. Sizes that are available (some images may have other options):

      • 10x15
      • 12x18
